Edward Patrick Fagan

Edward Patrick Fagan, Jr. of Montrose, NY died on January 25, 2024. He was 83 years old. Edward was born in the Bronx on May 22, 1940 to Edward and Terese “Tess” (Friedl) Fagan. Edward served in the US Marine Corps. He worked as a peace officer in various law enforcement positions throughout his career. Edward enjoyed many years as a 33rd Degree Mason and serving as a liberal Catholic priest. He supported many charities with a heartfelt affection for missionaries throughout the world. Edward is survived by his children, Theresa (Richie) Leone, Karen Luciano, Edward Patrick Fagan, III, RitaAnn Borchers, his sister, Lora (Donald) Zembruski, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Edward is predeceased by his wife Sydell and brother Warren Fagan. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 6-8 PM at the O’Mara & Carpentieri Funeral Home. A Funeral mass will be on 11:30 AM Friday, February 2, 2024 at St. Patrick’s Church in Verplanck. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Seraphic Missions, P.O. Box 9130 Pittsburgh, NY 15224-0130.
